A shot taken an a day with a different temperament in the Paulina Lake area, one lake over and close to where we camped.  These lakes are left over from ancient volcanoes and are both part of the caldera.  We hiked over the narrow stretch of land in the horizon which separates the two lakes and is covered with pumice and glassy black obsidian.
