Photos for Friends & Family & Thensome

Steve and I took drive this evening through the countryside south of Hillsboro, Oregon.  Our friends have a nursery and home there and we were taken by the warm tones of rolling fields of grains, red barns and the occasional llama.

I wasn’t prepared to take a great photo from the car into the direct sunlight, but I did catch four elegant oaks standing in the middle of a long dry field.  Oregon’s western valleys were once covered with these oaks, and I am always grateful to see the ones that were spared while the fields were cleared for agriculture.
